Work each day at a time

I press reset almost every morning. My schedule and workload brings something new each day. Some days are more predictable than others. When I attempt to plan an entire week, I find that the plan rarely holds when I’m presented with new projects or current projects that change scope. Shuffling becomes an art as priorities shift from day to day. Each day is important and has certain advantages that weren’t there the day before.

Drive the purpose, not the destination: Don’t let a plan get in the way of an opportunity.

The good news is that more than ever, value accrues to those that show up, those that make a difference, those that do work that matters.

When change comes your way

Change. It’s something I look forward to and something I get anxious about. With change comes unexpected experiences that at times make me uncomfortable. That said, change can open doors and create opportunities that didn’t exist before. Stepping out of my comfort zone is a way for me to break out of a slump or move forward with my business in a different way. I ask myself a couple of questions. How can I meet new people to learn from or how can I make something new that will create a new opportunity to help me grow?

Drive the purpose, not the destination: Take a chance to do something new that will produce results now.

Well, if you don’t have time to do it right, what makes you think you’ll have time to do it over?

Great businesses have a point of view, not just a product or service. You have to believe in something.
